Guidelines Display Offsite campaigns

On this guidelines page, you will find the rules we apply when creating all bol Retail Media Offsite Display campaigns.

General

To ensure that bol is not perceived as the sender of the Offsite Display campaign, it will be designed according to the advertiser’s branding and look & feel, and should have no visual connection to bol.

This means:

  • The use of the bol logo is not allowed.
  • Do not use bol fonts (Graphik & Produkt).
  • Do not use colors from the bol color palette or bol blue.
  • Do not use specific bol texts.
  • Each banner in the offsite bannerset must include a bol reference. Choose either ‘Verkrijgbaar bij bol’(Available at bol) or ‘Exclusief bij bol’ (Exclusive at bol).

Note: 'Exclusief bij bol' can only be used when the advertised products are exclusively available at bol.

Sidenote

There may be overlap in the brand identity, fonts and colors between the advertiser and bol. This should not pose any issues if it truly represents the brand's own identity.

Examples

Visuals

High resolution logo, product- and lifestyle image(s).

Provide images with a high resolution and minimum size of 1080x1080 pixels for online use.
If multiple product images are provided, please indicate which products have priority since not every format has enough space to display all products. It is also important for our designers to know the proportions/dimensions of different products.

Font

The bol brand identity includes two font families: Produkt and Graphik. These fonts contribute to the recognizable and unique appearance. Therefore, in offsite campaigns, these fonts can’t be used.

Copy & Call to action

Copy

All 'typical' bol texts and expressions are excluded for use in offsite campaigns.

Call to action button

The call to action text can be chosen freely, there are no restrictions.

Discount disclaimers

When we mention the word 'discount' on the banners, we always include one of the following disclaimers:

  • '*op de adviesprijs’ (on the recommended retail price) for Daily Needs products and laptops.
  • ‘*op de meest getoonde prijs’ (on the most displayed price).
